Executives from across the trucking industry and from many of Canada’s leading charity organizations were treated to a spirited panel discussion at Trucks For Change Network’s 3rd annual Partner Luncheon on November 19 in Oakville Ontario. The discussion topic was entitled “Building Win-Win Giving Partnerships”, and focused on how companies can benefit from their involvement with charity organizations. The session was kicked off by Pete Dalmazzi, Founder and President of Trucks For Change Network, and was moderated by trucking industry personality Mike McCarron. The panel included Rob Voisin, Director of ReStore and Product Services at Habitat For Humanity Canada, Norm Sneyd, VP Business Development at Bison Transport, and Paul Klein, Founder of Impakt Corp., a Toronto firm specializing in the area of corporate social responsibility. The discussion touched on the many benefits of corporate giving, from employee engagement and teamwork benefits, to the growing expectation of the millennial workforce for corporate social responsibility.
