Manitoba Trucking Association teams up with Trucks For Change Network to support charities across the Province

The Manitoba Trucking AssociationWinnipeg, MB—The Manitoba Trucking Association (MTA) and Trucks For Change Network (T4C), a non-profit association of member trucking and logistics companies, announced today that they are joining forces to help support charities in Manitoba and across Canada with trucking services.

Members of Trucks For Change Network, founded in Ontario in 2011, are among the country’s leading highway carriers, with the motto “Filling Trucks, Fulfilling Needs”.  T4C employs a unique online charity load-posting tool which allows member carriers to find charity requests which match their available truck capacity, and to respond with offers of reduced-rate or donated service.  T4C’s membership already includes several carriers with operations in Manitoba, which assist the Manitoba affiliates of national charities such as Food Banks Canada and Habitat For Humanity Canada. Its new partnership with MTA will accelerate its membership growth and its support of communities across the Province.

Said Trucks For Change Network President and founder Pete Dalmazzi “The trucking industry has always actively supported charities.  Our job is to make the process more efficient by finding the right carrier with the right equipment in the right place to help”.  “Finding affordable transportation often makes the difference between a charity accepting donated goods or having them end up in landfill sites, so there’s an environmental benefit as well.  We’re thrilled to have MTA’s endorsement, and we look forward to helping its members make a difference in communities across Manitoba.”

Bob Dolyniuk, MTA Executive Director commented “T4C’s mission is consistent with MTA’s goal of promoting an environmentally and socially responsible commercial trucking industry in Manitoba”.  We are happy to endorse its efforts, and we encourage our members to participate”.
