Trucks For Change AGM Brings Together Member and Charity Execs

On November 5, Trucks For Change Network held its 2nd Annual General Meeting  and Network Luncheon in Oakville Ontario.   In attendance were 40 executives representing our Board of Directors, our member carriers, and our industry sponsors.  Also attending were leaders from Food Banks Canada, Habitat For Humanity Canada, and Canadian Red Cross, each of whom described how T4C’s service donations have contributed to their work in communities across Canada.  T4C President and Founder Pete Dalmazzi told the group that what they all had in common was the shared value that helping those less fortunate is fundamental to their business culture.  Guest speaker Fiona Friesen, Marketing Director at Trailer Wizards, spoke about the business benefits companies can realize through their charitable giving, including employee engagement, customer loyalty, and brand identification.

Newly-elected T4C Board Members include Natalie Meyers, Chairman of Meyers Transport, Scott Tilley, President of Tandet Group, Shane Esson, Vice President  and General Manager at Midland Transport, and Alex MacKinnon, Vice President Finance and Administration at MacKinnon Transport.  They will join returning Board Members Scott Smith, CEO of JD Smith and Sons, Mark Seymour, CEO of Kriska Holdings, Norm Sneyd, Vice President Business Development at Bison Transport, and Rick Dalmazzi, President at Dalmazzi Management.

Thanks to all in attendance for your support and interest, and for those members who couldn’t be there, we hope to see you at our 2014 event!
